APE REGINA
L'ape regina termine viene in genere utilizzato per riferirsi a un adulto, accoppiata femminile che vive in una colonia di api al miele o alveare, lei di solito è la madre di più, se non tutte, le api nell'alveare
WORKER BEE
A Worker bee is any female eusocial bee that lacks the full reproductive capacity of the colony's queen bee; under most circumstances, this is correlated to an increase in certain non-reproductive activities relative to a queen, as well
ANTIBACTERIAL
An antibacterial is a compound or substance that kills or slows down the growth of bacteria
BACTERICIDE
A bactericide or bacteriocide is a substance that kills bacteria and, ideally, nothing else. Bactericides are disinfectants, antiseptics or antibiotics
BOTTINATRICE BEE

CRYSTALLIZATION
Crystallization is the (natural or artificial) process of formation of solid crystals precipitating from a solution, melt or more rarely deposited directly from a gas
HONEYCOMB
Un nido d'ape è una massa di cellule esagonali di cera costruiti dalle api nei loro nidi a contenere le loro larve e negozi di miele e polline
DRONE
Drones are male honey bees. They develop from eggs that have not been fertilized, and they cannot sting, since the worker bee's stinger is a modified ovipositor
FRUCTOSE
Fructose, or fruit sugar, is a simple monosaccharide found in many foods. It is one of the three important dietary monosaccharides along with glucose and galactose
GLUCOSE
Glucose is a simple sugar and an important carbohydrate in biology. Cells use it as a source of energy and a metabolic intermediate. Glucose is one of the main products of photosynthesis and starts cellular respiration.
POLLINATION
Pollination is the process by which pollen is transferred in plants, thereby enabling fertilization and sexual reproduction
LARVAE
A larva is a distinct juvenile form many animals undergo before metamorphosis into adults
HONEYDEW
Honeydew is a sugar-rich sticky liquid, secreted by aphids and some scale insects as they feed on plant sap.
NECTAR
Nectar is a sugar-rich liquid produced by plants

NUPTIAL FLIGHT
Nuptial flight is an important phase in the reproduction of most ant, termite and some bee species. During the flight, virgin queens mate with males and then land to start a new colony, or, in the case of honey bees, continue the planned succession of an existing hived colony
